Total Armed Forces Logistics Solution

Defence Communications Industry and Kabed Consulting are excited to advise that a unique partnering arrangement now provides Defence organisations with the opportunity to source their preferred and total system solution from a single group.

The Principles have been associated for a number of years and have a total of more than forty years of Defence systems and communications expertise.  For the past three years DCI has forged forward with the development of a communications solution specific to the needs of Defence clients.  Most notably this has been the development of the P3/P1 products for C4I field communications extensions.  Kabed has been solely responsible for the development and implementation of a deployable corporate logistics system.  They are providing the Project Direction for the provision, training and enhancements of the Australian Defence Forces logistic system.  The enhancements include an improved maintenance system and a solution to support deployable logistics operations.

This unique partnering arrangement means that a client is able to explain its concept of operations to us knowing that a thorough planning, development and implementation process will realise the concepts with a fully developed, documented and supported solution.  These compatible knowledge groups provide assurance that the system requirements are developed in concert with the communications infrastructure needs of the client.  Ordinarily separate suppliers result in clients facing ill-conceived and ad-hoc implementation.

The specific skill modules available to our clients are listed below.  It should be noted that we are able to perform each of the following steps as independent actions or together as part of a total solution.

Modules:

·         Strategic Planning.
Detailed exploration of a clients business requirements are undertaken by experienced Strategic Planners.  This stage produces the Requirements Document following a discovery process, and sets the benchmark for measuring future success and implementation milestones.

·         Implementation and Program Management Planning.
Careful and thorough planning is required to ensure success and acceptance by your user community.  Our staff have many years of qualified experience in this area and are currently performing this task for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

·         Procedure Development.
Our Business Analysts will work with your key stakeholders to develop concise and accurate procedures for the proper conduct of your business.  This module is critical to the longevity of a sound business solution, which not only meets users needs but satisfies Government process and reporting regulations.  We are currently involved in the development of procedures for the ADF logistic system.

·         Training.
Our staff are experienced in the development of complete training programs based upon the Procedures defined in the previous module.  It is most important that all levels of training are met so that the total system is understood at all users.   We are currently involved in the development and delivery of training packages for users of the logistic system being rolled out to the ADF.

·         System Engineering.
Our Principles are experienced in the development of software solutions often necessary as amendments to existing Enterprise Resource Planning tools (such as Mincom’s MIMS system) so that they meet the specific needs of our client.

·         Engineering.
DCI are proven hardware engineering practitioners whose current Fielded Communications solution is meeting the needs of many Defence Forces.
